Brockenhurst Village Trust and Community Action Group Agree New Working Arrangement 

Brockenhurst Village Trust (BVT) and the Brockenhurst Community Action Group (BCAG) have agreed a new arrangement that will see BCAG operate independently, marking the next stage in its development as a community-led initiative. 

Since joining BVT as a sub-committee, BCAG has grown in scope and activity, with the support and structure provided by BVT helping to enable this development. This change reflects that natural evolution. By now operating independently, BCAG will have greater flexibility to develop and deliver projects, respond more quickly to local needs, and build its own identity within the community. At the same time, this allows BVT to maintain a clear focus on its broader charitable objectives. Together, these changes are expected to strengthen both organisations and enhance the range and impact of community initiatives available to Brockenhurst residents. 

Importantly, this transition does not signal the end of collaboration. BVT and BCAG will continue to work together on projects where there are shared benefits and alignment, maintaining a positive and constructive partnership for the good of the Brockenhurst community. 

As part of the change, BVT will no longer hold legal or governance responsibility for BCAG’s activities. Volunteers and supporters are encouraged to engage directly with the organisations they wish to support, although both groups remain committed to welcoming community involvement. 

A joint communication has been shared directly with volunteers to ensure clarity around the changes and to provide contact details for both organisations. 

BVT and BCAG would like to thank all volunteers and supporters for their ongoing commitment to community initiatives in Brockenhurst and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact—both independently and through future collaboration.
