Indoor Bowls Taster day

Whether you’ve bowled before or it’s all new, come along to a Brockenhurst taster session and give it a go. come along between 10:00am-12pm

The group meets September - April on Friday 9.45a.m.-3p.m.

About the Game -

Simply put bowls is about rolling a bowl ( called a wood) and getting it nearer to a jack than your opponents.

But of course it is not that simple in reality because:

- The wood has a bias and does not roll like a ball

- The distance to the jack changes

- There are other woods shielding the jack

Bowls is a game involving gentle physical and mental exercise. And you will find that at Brockenhurst we are an extremely friendly and sociable club where experienced players and beginners are all welcome.

Community -

The club was established some 30 years ago by a local GP . He believed passionately that people of all ages and all abilities benefited from physical and mental exercise . We offer that along with a friendly , sociable meeting place for residents of Brockenhurst and surrounding areas.
