Free NHS Health Checks

Description

Hampshire County Council have commissioned Free NHS Health Checks throughout the county. The aims are to identify risks of cardiovascular disease, diabetes and stroke to enable early intervention and improved health. We are keen to make this testing accessible and convenient.

“Haven’t received a code, Check your eligibility here” please answer the eligibility questions which will put them through to the location drop down box, “Brockenhurst Community Hub” and then select “Health Check” for the full health check and “Brockenhurst Community Hub – (Mini diary)” for the mini health checks on the service drop down box.

Full NHS Health Checks (30 minute check) - measuring your height and weight, measuring your waist, a blood pressure test, a cholesterol test, and possibly a blood sugar level test, which is usually a finger-prick blood test.

Please note there is an eligibility criterion which Hampshire Council have made for these full health checks.

Eligibility criteria:

Must live in the Hampshire area and have a Hampshire postcode OR be registered with a GP practice in the Hampshire area.
Must be aged 40-74.
Must not have had a health check in the last 5 years.
Must not be taking any medication for high cholesterol.

Mini Health Checks (10-minute check) - Blood Pressure, Pulse and general lifestyle management guidance.
