A talk on Community Art – ‘what’s it all about’ 2.30 pm Tuesday 23 April 2024

Community art reflects local culture, history and what is important to people. It can bring out a sense of pride and protection for the environment. It is inclusive and can encourage conversations about what is important and what can be achieved, for instance sustainability of the New Forest.

Community art initiatives have been shown to have positive impacts on individual well-being and mental health. Participating in art activities promote stress reduction, self-expression, and emotional healing. It has the power to inspire and motivate individuals and can deter crime and vandalism.
