Don’t miss Moviola’s screening of  The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society (12A)

The Cinema is in the Forest Hall. The doors open at 7pm and the evening programme begins at 7.30. After a short film or two and a trailer for the next film, there is an interval when you can chat with friends while enjoying a glass of wine, ice creams, coffee, tea, cake etc. before settling down to watch the main film.

Doors open at 7.00pm with a bar and refreshments available.

A young English writer (Lily James) forms an unexpected bond with some Guernsey residents just after World War II, when the islanders are recovering from the German occupation. Adapted from the novel by Annie Barrows and Mary Ann Shaffer, director Mike Newell uses his considerable skills to weave together a richly layered film that is both uplifting and moving.
