Let’s get things into PERSPECTIVE – a facilitated workshop hosted by local Artist and Art Historian, Al Beckett.

A wander into the world of paintings with local artist Al Beckett through the magic of perspective.

We will take a short, illustrated journey through a few examples of perspective from early to present times, with informal chat and discussion.

  • See the paintings you love with fresh insights
  • Discover how the artist pulled it off
  • A deeper enjoyment of a painting at home

Following our journey we’ll have a go at experimenting with perspective, some simple sketching and basic watercolour painting.

You do not need to be an artist; you do not need even to be able to draw or paint – this is just for fun and enjoyment. You may not even have picked up a brush since school – that’s fine.

We will provide everything you need: a pencil, paper, ruler, basic watercolours and a brush or 2. But you can also bring along your own if you would prefer.

Tea/coffee/cake will be served during the workshop.

We’ll be looking at a few pictures, the illustrations here are merely examples.

Spaces are limited so please book yours using the buttons below. £10 per person including materials and refreshments.
