Record-breaking British adventurer Adrian Hayes’ new book ‘One Man’s Climb: A Journey of Trauma, Tragedy and Triumph on K2’ has just had its UK release and we welcome your attendance to a special presentation and book signing event here at Brockenhurst Village Hall.

The book covers Adrian’s recent profound attempts on the world’s notorious second-highest mountain, K2, which is widely regarded as the greatest challenge in high altitude mountaineering on the planet. However, the book (and presentation) is as much a lesson in human development, real teamwork and our lives in the world below as it is a story of climbing a very dangerous mountain, and will appeal to men and women (and teenagers) of all ages and persuasions.

Timings for evening: (From) 6.30 pm Reception; 7 – 8 pm Presentation and Q & A; 8 pm onwards book signings and drinks.

Adrian Hayes is a Lymington based record-breaking polar explorer and adventurer, author, speaker, business coach, documentary presenter and sustainability campaigner. An Arabic and Nepalese speaking former British Army Gurkha Officer, who also spent two years as part of the Special Forces, he has conquered Everest, K2, the North and South Poles, the length of Greenland by kite-ski and the Arabian Desert by camel amidst a lifetime of adventure, setting two Guinness World Records, writing two books, and featuring in three documentaries to date.
