Brockenhurst Pickleball

Pickleball is a mash-up of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and can be played by singles or in pairs, either indoors or outside.

The aim of the game is to get the ball over the net and prevent your opponent from hitting it back.

Players use hard paddles a little bigger than ping-pong bats, and a light plastic ball called a wiffle ball to play.

Wine Club

The Brockenhurst Wine Club is a friendly and fun club, which meets monthly in the Brockenhurst Village Hall. The aim of the Club is to explore a wide range of wines that you may not have come across, in a range of budgets, and learn something about how and where they’re made, as well as getting to know other like minded people.  We meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm.

The usual format of an evening is a tasting of around 8 wines, with a specific theme (for example: a region or country, or unusual grapes), usually led by an independent wine expert. These people are enthusiastic and knowledgeable and so the sessions combine the fun of trying different wines, with a bit of learning thrown in!

Our Chairman John Harris and Treasurer Sally Harris recently appeared in the Food & Drink section of the Lymington Times

Soul Awakening New Forest

Kundalini Yoga uses breath correlated with dynamic movement to open up the body’s natural resources of inner vitality.

The yoga is great for any age and ability as all positions can be adapted to suit everyone’s individual flexibility and physical strength.

Postures are followed with the practice of a root lock, which involves contracting the muscles of pelvic floor, anus and of navel. This on its own is extremely helpful, not only as preventative measure for incontinence and prostate issues, but also as a tool to strengthening and promoting both women’s and men’s health at any stage of their lives.
